  1. Day 1 Welcome to Srinagar

    Your trip to Srinagar starts with mid-morning arrival at airport. Check in to hotel and relax for sometime. After some time start you tour of Srinagar with visit the Mughal Gardens with your new wife. First start with Shalimar Bagh, spend sometime there and admire the beauty and architecture; and later visit Nishat Bagh and savor the beauty of the surroundings. Comeback to hotel and relax after lunch. In the evening visit the world-famous Dal Lake, and take your newly weded wife on a romantic ride on a Shikara. Later at night, check into a houseboat on the Dal lake for an overnight stay after dinner.

  2. Day 2 Welcome to Sonmarg

    Get up early and check out of the houseboat and rush back to hotel and freshen up. After a hearty breakfast head out for tour of Sonmarg nearly 80 kms away. The hill station is famous for its pristine beauty. Watch the high snow-capped peaks from the valley. After that get to the highest point by road possible and get breath taking view of the beautiful valley below, including Nallah Sindh a tributary of Jhelum. Check into the hotel and relax after Kashmiri style lunch. In the evening go to Baltal valley nearly 15 kms away and watch the mesmerizing sunset. Comeback to hotel and relax with your wife, and call it a day after dinner. 

  3. Day 3 Visit Thajiwas Glacier

    Get up early and freshen up and after sumptuous breakfast head out to Thaijwas glacier around 10 kms away. The visit includes trek of atleast 2 to 3 kms. Spend as much time there with your new wife watching the mesmerizing glacier. Comeback after lunch to hotel and relax. In the evening take a stroll in the local market and comeback to hotel and retire after dinner.

  4. Day 4 Visit to Pahalgam

    Get up early and freshen up and bid adieu to Sonmarg after breakfast for visit to Pahalgam, a hill station nearly 182 kms away. While going towards Pahalgam make a brief stop for refreshment and also to watch the stunning mountainous locales in Bijbehera and Avantipura. Check into hotel in the afternoon and relax after lunch. In the evening watch the sunset from the hotel and retire for the day after dinner.

  5. Day 5 Pahalgam Tour

    Get up early and freshen up and after scrumptious breakfast head out for tour of Pahalgam. The town is famous for snow-capped mountains, from here head to Kolhoi glacier 12 kms away. The glacier is a source of Lidder river, a tributary of Jhelum and is a magnificent sight to watch. After sometime head out to Betaab valley. After spending sometime here watching the beautiful free following streams. Next visit the Aru valley, late in afternoon comeback to hotel and relax. In the evening watch the magnificent sunset from the hotel. 

  6. Day 6 Visit to Gulmarg

    Get up early and freshen up, bid adieu to Pahalgam for visit to Gulmarg nearly 139 kms away. The prime tourist destination in Kashmir apart from Srinagar, Its well known for its natural environment and is surrounded by dense forest. The prime ski and winter sports destination during winter season, is also well known for it golf course, one of the highest in the world. Check into hotel in mid-afternoon and if visiting in winter head straight to the ski slopes and indulge in skiing with your wife, at your own expense; or simply indulge in snowball fight. In the evening comeback to hotel and relax. Retire for the day after dinner.

  7. Day 7 Gulmarg Sightseeing

    Get up early and freshen up, kickstart your day for Gulmarg sightseeing tour. Grab a seat at the ropeway car, and watch the scenic beauty from the cable car. Once you reach the end of the ropeway head to the golf course, if visiting in summer and watch the magnificent snow-capped mountains. Then visit the Rani temple followed by visit to the Baba Reshi shrine and St. Mary’s Church. In the afternoon visit Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve and spend sometime there. In the late afternoon visit Aparwat mountain to watch the sunset. Comeback to hotel and retire for the day after dinner.

  8. Day 8 Head to Srinagar

    Get up early and after a quick breakfast, kickstart your journey to Srinagar nearly 52 kms away. After mid-morning arrival check in to hotel and relax for sometime with your new wife. After lunch visit the Chasme Shahi, the 3rd Mughal Garden. Later visit Manasbal lake, followed by Pari Mahal ruins. If you have time visit Shankaracharya Temple. in the evening visit the local markets to do some souvenir hunting.  

  9. Day 9 Pack Up !!! Time to Go Home

    Get up early, freshen up and after a quick breakfast, bid adieu to Srinagar for a trip back home. Check out of the hotel based on your timing of flight, and head home with memories of this honeymoon trip clicked in a smartphone or camera.

It’s safe to visit Kashmir valley nowadays. However, nowadays both in domestic and international tourist in past few years. However, one needs to work around the frequent shutdowns calls given by secessionist, to visit various areas in and around Srinagar, the hub of all tourism activities in Kashmir valley.

The Dal Lake houses houseboats that are 2 kms away from city center. People visiting houseboat and wanting to travel on Shikara that are always available at the houseboats, have to make prior arrangements to avoid last minute rush. Both houseboat and Shikara travel are costly and better to get the tourist agency arrange for one, or fork out on your own.

There are several luxurious hotels throughout Srinagar, but a 24 hour stay in a houseboat in the beautiful Dal Lake gives a unique and unforgettable experience while visiting Kashmir. So while visiting Kashmir on a honeymoon trip make sure to spend a day on the houseboat. Though a bit expensive, its worth the money.

The best time of visiting Kashmir is in summer season from April until August and once again in winter season from October to February, if you want to experience the snowfall and can handle cold temperature.

There are many dishes that are synonymous for Kashmir, however non-vegetarian dishes are most popular. The most popular are Kashmiri Wazwan, a meat-based multi-course meal; Rogan Josh a non-vegetarian dish; Yakhni is another non-veg dish. Do not to miss Kahwah traditional Kashmiri green tea.

On visit to Kashmir it is must to carry heavy woollens, sweaters and scarves especially if travelling during winter. Durable shoes are a must if you want to indulge in adventure activities.
