  1. Day 1 Welcome to Srinagar

    Your trip to Srinagar starts with mid-morning arrival at airport. Check in to hotel and relax for some time. After some time, start you tour of Srinagar with visit to Char Chinar, followed by visit to Sri Pratap Singh Museum. after spending sometime after lunch visit Jyeshtheswara Temple, Kheer Bhawani Termp-le. In the late afternoon visit Nigeen lake next to Dal lake. As the evening approaches visit Dal lake and watch the sunset while riding Shikara. Late in the evening visit crafts bazaar to do some window shopping. Comeback to hotel and retire for the day after dinner. 

  2. Day 2 Pahalgam Excursion

    After an early wakeup and breakfast with Kahwa, the famous Kashmiri green tea, kickstart your tour for visit to Pahalgam, a hill station nearly 92 kms away. While going towards Pahalgam make a brief stop for refreshment and watch the stunning mountainous locales en-route in Anantnag like ruins of Martand Sun temple. After arrival in Pahalgam head straight to Baisaran hills. If you like adventure, enjoy zorbing downhill. Later visit Kolhoi glacier, source of Lidder river. In the afternoon visit Sheikhpora followed by visit to picturesque Aru valley. Late In afternoon visit Pahalgam golf course. In the evening visit Mamleshwar temple and Chandanwari while returning Srinagar. At night have a scrumptious Wazwan dinner at the hotel before calling it a day

  3. Day 3 Srinagar Sightseeing Tour

    Get up early and freshen up. After a sumptuous breakfast resume your tour of Srinagar, with visit to the 3 Mughal garden. Start with Nishat Bagh, followed by Shalimar Bagh and lastly Chasme Shahi. After lunch if visiting in April tour the Tulip gardens, when the flowers are in full bloom. In the afternoon visit Badamwari gardens followed by visit to Pari Mahal ruins. Next up is visit to Burzhama Ruins. Late in afternoon visit Shah Hamdan shrine. In the evening visit Chatti Padshahi Gurudwara. Later visit Kashmir Government Arts Emporium in Srinagar near Dal Lake. Call it a day after a hearty dinner.

  4. Day 4 Sonmarg Excursion

    Get up early and freshen up. After a sumptuous breakfast along with Kahwa head out for tour of Sonmarg nearly 80 kms away. The hill station is famous for its pristine beauty. Start your visit to the beautiful lakes in and around Sonmarg. Start with Satsar Lake, and get mesmerized by the pristine beauty of the lake. Follow it up with visit to Gadsar Lake and Krishnasar lake. In the afternoon visit Gangabal Lake, and Vishansar Lake. Late in afternoon visit the Thaijwas glacier. In the evening go as high as possible to Zozila pass to watch a stunning sunset. Comeback to Srinagar and relax with your wife, call it a day after dinner. 

  5. Day 5 Visit to Gulmarg

    Get up early and freshen up, bid adieu to Srinagar for visit to Gulmarg 51 kms away. The prime ski resort in Kashmir valley during winter season; its well known for its natural environment. Check into hotel and immediately head out to visit the strawberry fields. After a quick lunch, visit the worlds’ highest golf course to get a glimpse of snow-capped mountains around it. Follow it up with visit to Alpather lake. In the evening visit the Khilanmarg valley to watch the sunset. Comeback to hotel and call it a day after a hearty Kashmiri meal.

  6. Day 6 Head to Srinagar & Pack Up !!! Time to Go Home

    Get up early and after a quick breakfast, kickstart your journey to Srinagar 51 kms away. After mid-morning arrival check in to hotel and relax for sometime with your new wife. After lunch visit Manasbal lake followed by visit to Shankaracharya Temple and Mata Kheer Bhawani temple. After lunch check out of the hotel based on your timing of flight, and head home with memories of this honeymoon trip clicked in a smartphone or camera.

The visit to Srinagar is subject to opening of Jawahar tunnel and the Srinagar airport. Frequent landslide due to heavy rains and heavy snowfall cut off the city and the Kashmir valley from rest of India. So plan your tour accordingly. The most popular tourist attractions to visit in Srinagar are Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens namely Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh, and Shalimar Garden. Other places worth visiting are Sri Pratap Sign Museum, Hari Parbat Fort, Neegin lake, Pari Mahal, Manasbal lake, Shankaracharya Temple, and Tulip Gardens. Also, worth visiting are Mata Kheer Bhawani temple, Badamwari gardens, Burzhama ruins, Shah Hamdan shrine, Hazratbal shrine, Chatti Padshahi Gurudwara, Kashmir Government Arts Emporium, and Char Chinar. 

It’s safe to visit Kashmir valley nowadays. However, nowadays both in domestic and international tourist in past few years. However, one needs to work around the frequent shutdowns calls given by secessionist, to visit various areas in and around Srinagar, the hub of all tourism activities in Kashmir valley.

On visit to Kashmir it is must to carry heavy woollens, sweaters and scarves especially if travelling during winter. Durable shoes are a must if you want to indulge in adventure activities. Better carry Umbrella, if travelling during summer or rainy season. Also must are basic medicine for emergency.

For visiting various cities and tourist locations numerous travel agencies as well as state government provide coach and tourist taxis. If visiting different cities on longer trips better to use mini bus. For travelling inside the cities auto rickshaws are best for commuting.

The trip itineraries guided trips are liable to change to provide some flexibility in the tour itinerary. However, while travelling in Kashmir it is better to keep yourself informed of the prevailing law and order situation as that allows make needed changes if needed. Also unforeseen circumstances like curfew, landslides, heavy snowfall can necessitate significant change in the itinerary, which may require change in accommodation and/or unplanned travel. In such cases tourist may have to contribute financially in portions.

Best time to visit in Gulmarg if you love snowfall is in the winter season and if you don’t love snow in summer season. There are numerous places worth visiting in Gulmarg. Apart from the worlds highest golf course, there is HAWS or High Altitude Warfare School of Indian Army. A must visit during summer time is the Khilanmarg Valley just 4 kms away from Gulmarg. Another must visit is Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve. Among other places worth visiting are Baba Reshi shrine, Maharani temple, St.Mary’s Church and Alpather lake. If you love skiing then a visit to ski slopes on Kongdori mountains is a must. Also on a must list the ride on rope way called Gulmarg Gondola.
