  1. Day 1 Welcome to Srinagar

    Your trip to Srinagar starts with mid-morning arrival at airport. Check in to hotel and relax for sometime. After some time start you tour of Srinagar with visit to the Mughal Gardens with your new wife. First start with Shalimar Bagh, spend sometime there; later visit Nishat Bagh and follow it up with visit to Chashme Shahi. In the evening visit Dal Lake with your new wife on a romantic ride on a Shikara to watch the sunset. Later in the evening, visit Kashmir Government Art Emporium near Dal lake. Comeback to hotel and call it a day after dinner.

  2. Day 2 Welcome to Kargil

    Get up early and check out of hotel after a hearty breakfast for trip to Kargil 202 kms away. The trip via Sonmarg and Dras has some of the most breath-taking locations of meadows, high snow-capped peaks and valley. After reaching Kargil check into hotel and head straight to Kargil War Memorial. Pay respect to the fallen soldiers. Later in the evening roam around the town’s main market. Comeback to hotel and relax with your wife, and call it a day after dinner. 

  3. Day 3 Welcome to Leh

    Get up early and check out of hotel after a hearty breakfast for trip to Leh nearly 217 kms away. Start your journey towards Leh with visit to Mulbek Monastery. The trip takes you through the rugged Sham valley also known as Apricot valley. Stop for refreshment enroute to enjoy the stunning locales like confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers and Magnetic hill. Before entering stop by for visit to Lamayuru Monastery and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Arrive and check into hotel in Leh hotel and relax after lunch with your new wife. In the evening visit Old Leh. Late at night roam in the local market and do some window shopping. Comeback to hotel and call it a day after dinner.

  4. Day 4 Leh Sightseeing

    Rise up early and after a hearty Ladakhi breakfast kickstart your Leh tour with visit to Leh Palace ruins. Follow it up with visit to Ladakh Art Palace and Tibetan Art Museum. follow it up with visit to Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, Shanti Stupa. After lunch visit Chamba Temple, Jama Masjid. In the late afternoon relax after lunch with your wife. in the evening roam around the main market of Leh. Call it a day after dinner at a Tibetan restaurant.

  5. Day 5 Nubra Valley Excursion

    Rise up early and after a hearty Ladakhi breakfast kickstart your trip to Nubra valley nearly 161 kms away. En-route to Nubra Valley stop at the highest pointy of Khardung La Pass, one of the worlds highest motorable road. Before visiting Nubra Valley it is important to get Inner Line Permit (ILP). Nubra valley is the only place to see twin humped camels in wild in India. In the afternoon visit Diskit town and Monastery. In late afternoon visit Baigdandu village, home of goats whose wool is used to make the famous Pashmina shawl. In the evening visit Hunder Monastery. Comeback to Diskit and stay at a hotel for the night after dinner.

  6. Day 6 Resume Leh Sightseeing

    Rise up early and after breakfast head back to Leh. After reaching Leh head out visit the War Museum, The Victory Tower. and Zorawar Fort. in the evening head out to Tso Morri lake to watch the stunning sunset. Comeback to hotel and call it a day after a Tibetan dinner.

  7. Day 7 Pangong Tso Lake Excursion

    Rise up early and after breakfast kickstart your trip to Pangong Tso Lake nearly 225 kms away. Make sure to get ILP to visit the lake. The stunning brackish salt water lake is a prime shooting location for many Bollywood movies. If visiting in summer; watch thousands of migratory birds as the lake is an important breeding ground. The barren mountains around the lake that freezes in winter, presents a stunning backdrop. Watch the sunset and return to Leh at night. Call it a day after dinner.

  8. Day 8 Pack Up !!! Time to Go Home

    Get up early, freshen up and after a quick breakfast, bid adieu to Leh for a trip back home. Check out of the hotel based on your timing of flight, and head home with memories of this honeymoon trip clicked in a smartphone or camera.

It’s safe to visit Kashmir valley nowadays. However, nowadays both in domestic and international tourist in past few years. However, one needs to work around the frequent shutdowns calls given by secessionist, to visit various areas in and around Srinagar, the hub of all tourism activities in Kashmir valley.

The Dal Lake houses houseboats that are 2 kms away from city center. People visiting houseboat and wanting to travel on Shikara that are always available at the houseboats, have to make prior arrangements to avoid last minute rush. Both houseboat and Shikara travel are costly and better to get the tourist agency arrange for one, or fork out on your own.

Best time to visit Leh is from June to September and if want to experience winter then from December to February. in Leh especially worth visiting is old town of Leh, and Leh Palace. Other places worth visiting are Namgyal Tsemo Gompa. Shanti Stupa. Chamba Temple, Jama Masjid. Gurdwara Pathar Sahib. War Museum. The Victory Tower. and Zorawar Fort. The town is hub for visit to other areas like Nubra valley, Pangong Tso lake, Morri lake, Kargil and Dras, the worlds’ 2nd coldest inhabited place.

Foreigners visiting Ladakh are required to obtain Ladakh Protected Area Permit (PAP) before entering this region. If visiting Leh and nearby areas Inner Line Permit is not needed. ILP is needed for visiting Loma Bend, Turtuk, Nubra valley, Khardung La, Hanle, Digger La, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, Dah, Merak, Nyoma, Hanu Villages, Man, Tyakshi, Chusul, Tangyar (for trekking only). For Indians ILP is valid for 3 weeks and for foreigners it is valid for 1 week.  The cost of ILP is INR 420. People can get the ILP from the website http://lahdclehpermit.in/ by following the process as prescribed.

On visit to Kashmir it is must to carry heavy woollens, sweaters and scarves especially if travelling during winter. Durable shoes are a must if you want to indulge in adventure activities. Better carry Umbrella, if travelling during summer or rainy season. Also must are basic medicine for emergency.

The trip itineraries guided trips are liable to change to provide some flexibility in the tour itinerary. However, while travelling in Kashmir it is better to keep yourself informed of the prevailing law and order situation as that allows make needed changes if needed. Also unforeseen circumstances like curfew, landslides, heavy snowfall can necessitate significant change in the itinerary, which may require change in accommodation and/or unplanned travel. In such cases tourist may have to contribute financially in portions.
