Darjeeling-Gangtok-Lachung-Yumthung 5N/6D

  1. Day 1 NJP/ Bagdogra to Darjeeling

    Travelxploria guide is there to welcome you at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station. They will take you to the hotel booked at Darjeeling. The incredible sightseeing views of the beautiful hill station are located at an altitude of 7001ft; you will reach the hotel within 3 hours. After the completion of check-in formalities, you can relax and prepare yourself for the next day. 

  2. Day 2 Darjeeling Sightseeing

    After enjoying the mouth-watering breakfast, get ready for the sunrise view at ”Kanchenjunga.” You can enjoy your early morning at a range of Tiger hills. After that, you will be transferred to Padma Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Snow Leopard Breeding Center, Batasia Loop and War Memorial, Ghoom Monastery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Ropeway, Tenzing Rock, Tea Garden, Lebong Race Course, and Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre. 

    Another stoppage will be at Mall road in the evening. Here you can enjoy the street food, shopping, and the customs of town. 

  3. Day 3 Darjeeling to Gangtok

    After a relaxing overnight stay, a lip-smacking breakfast will be there for you. Then the journey will continue to the beautiful city of Gangtok. It is approximately 115 km away from Darjeeling, and its height is up to 5,480 ft. Afterwards, check-in at the booked hotel and relax your body by getting freshened up. After that, a nutritious lunch will be waiting for you. The next destination is Government Institute of Cottage Industry, Banjhakri Falls, Orchid House Flower Show, Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, Dodurl Chorten, Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok and Bakthang Falls. Afterwards, you can get back to the hotel for night stay. 

  4. Day 4 Gangtok to Lachung

    The next morning, a scrumptious breakfast will be there for you. So enjoy the meal and get ready for a drive at Lachung. The roadside scenery from Gangtok to Lachung is unique; thus you will witness some magnificent places while traveling around 6 hour journey.  After that, you can enjoy the beautiful sight of Lachung Monastery.

  5. Day 5 Lachung to Yumthang Valley

    Start your 6th day with a nutritious breakfast, and get ready to continue your journey. The next breathtaking destination will be Yumthang Valley. The place is filled with rhododendron flowers of different colors such as pink, red, purple and blue.

    Then proceed towards Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary where you will feel some extraordinary sceneries that will mesmerize you. Moreover, we can say that you will get stunned by experiencing a beautiful nature such as mountains and peaks at Pauhunri and Shundu Tsenpa against the backdrop of river Teesta. 

    While entering at Yumthang Valley, you can also follow a small trail if you want to reach Yumthang Hot Spring. Drive back to Gangtok for an overnight stay.

  6. Day 6 Departure to NJP/Bagdogra

The best season for visiting Yumthang valley starts in late February and continues up to mid-June.

You can get dumplings which are made up of flour dough and are stuffed with either meat or vegetables. The non-veg momo with chicken or pork stuffing is also quite popular among tourists.
