  1. Day 1 Welcome to Jaipur

    The trip starts with early morning arrival at Jaipur airport or railway station.  After arrival at the historic pink city, head to the hotel and unwind. After lunch visit Birla Temple, followed by a visit to Jaigarh fort, Jantar Mantar, Rambagh Palace, and then Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh. in the evening explore markets of old city especially the famed jewelry market of Johri Bazaar. At night take your new wife to the iconic Choki Dhani village resort, for an authentic Rajasthani dinner. Enjoy live performances, and recreation of Battle of Haldighati. Comeback to hotel and retire for the day.

  2. Day 2 Tour de Jaipur Continues

    Get up early and start with visit to watch the sunrise at Nahargarh Fort complex. Then enjoy the hospitality with a healthy Rajasthani breakfast at a nearby restaurant and then move towards Amer fort. Spend as time there till afternoon. Follow it up with visit to Jaipur City Zoo, Jal Mahal, Laxminarayan Temple, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and the Albert Hall Museum. Comeback to hotel and call it a day after dinner.

  3. Day 3 Head to Jodhpur

    Get up early check out of hotel after breakfast for trip to ‘blue city’ Jodhpur, around 337 kms away. Check in at the hotel, and freshen up and relax till lunch. After lunch head out to visit the massive Mehrangarh fort. Along the way visit Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park and Jaswant Thada. Then visit the Sachiya Mata Temple, followed by visit to Clock Tower, and Chamunda Mata Temple. In the evening visit the Kailana lake to watch the sunset and then explore local markets for the famed Jodhpuri shoes and sandals. Late at night comeback to hotel and retire for day after dinner.

  4. Day 4 Jodhpur Sightseeing Continues

    Get up early and after a sumptuous breakfast continue with your tour of Jodhpur with visit to Umaid Bhavan Palace. Follow it up with visit to Balsamand lake, Mandore gardens, Masuria Hill Garden. After lunch visit Toorji’s Step Well, Bullet Baba Temple, Jain Mahavira Temple and Phool Mahal. In the evening visit Ramdevra Temple. At night take a stroll in local market and gorge on local Rajasthan cuisine at a restaurant and comeback to hotel  to call it day.

  5. Day 5 Head to Golden City, Jaisalmer

    Get up early and after a sumptuous breakfast and then check out of hotel to bid adieu to hospitality in Jodhpur and continue with your tour of Rajasthan by heading towards Jaisalmer, the golden city, nearly 285 kms away. The city is famous for the Jaisalmer fort made of gold colored sand stone. After checking into hotel, unwind after lunch. In evening head to Jaisalmer fort on hill top for a mesmerizing view of sunset, then explore the local markets. Comeback to hotel and retire for the day after dinner.

  6. Day 6 Tour Jaisalmer Continues

    Get up early and rush to Jaisalmer fort for a stunning view of sunrise. Click pictures and comeback to hotel for a hearty Rajasthani breakfast.  After freshening up continue with your tour of Jaisalmer, with visit to Patwon-Ki-Haveli, Thar Heritage Museum, Longewal War Museum, Tanot Mata Tempke, Gadisar Lake. After lunch visit Slim Singh ki Haveli, abandoned Kuldhara village, Nathmal ki Haveli. In the evening watch sunset from Amar Sagar lake. Comeback to hotel and retire for day after dinner. 

  7. Day 7 Pack up!!! Time to Go Home

    Rise early and pack up completely and after quick breakfast bid adieu to hospitality of Rajasthan for a trip back to Jodhpur. Check out of hotel based on timing of flight or train to your hometown from Jodhpur. Head home with memories of this trip clicked in a smartphone or camera.

 If visiting Rajasthan for the first time, be ready to face the heat as it is desert state. Always ensure that you have made advance booking for place of stay wherever you visit, since Rajasthan is a tourists’ paradise, rooms are almost always booked in advance especially during peak season. if you are foreigner always keep your passport and other essential travel document all the time with yourself. Police can check your documents anytime. 

Rajasthan allows you to wander freely and security checks are available everywhere. You can travel without any fear to any area. While life risk is not their it is important to take care of your entire baggage to stop them from being stolen.  If you want to go to go in trekking in desolate areas or those less travelled, it is recommended you let others know about your adventure trip. Also try not to draw unwanted attention towards yourself. 

When visiting Rajasthan ensure you are always hydrated by drinking lots of water. Keep sun block lotion to protect your skin. Keep general medicine at hand and always wear googles and use umbrella except during winter.

There are numerous places worth visiting in Jaisalmer apart from the grand ‘Sonar Kella’ Jaisalmer fort.  Longewala war museum, Akal Wood Fossil Park, Khuri San Dunes, Sam Sand Dunes. Gadi Sagar Lake. Salim Singh Ki Haveli. Patwa Ki Haveli. Also worth visiting are Tanot Mata Temple. Jain Temple. Kuldhara Village, Vyas Chhatri, Khaba Fort, Jaisalmer War Museum and Tazia Tower. The best time to visit Jaisalmer is from November to March.

Any trip to Rajasthan is an adventure with visit to historic palaces, forts, wildlife safari, desert safari. You can also go an on bicycle or bike trip, hot air balloon trips, desert camping, haunting place tour like the abandoned villages of Bhangarh and Kuldhara. Boating on the numerous lakes of Rajasthan is also a good option.

During summers due to severe heat the tourism is low otherwise rest of the year, tourist influx is very high and it is better to do advance booking for anything be it visit to national park, stay in hotels, or going on a safari or any adventure trip as last minute booking may not be possible during peak season. This is more important for the Golden Quadrilateral of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer.
