  1. Day 1 Welcome to Srinagar

    Your trip to Srinagar starts with mid-morning arrival at airport. Check in to hotel and relax for sometime. After some time start you tour of Srinagar with visit the Mughal Gardens with your new wife. First start with Shalimar Bagh, spend sometime there and admire the beauty and architecture; and later visit Nishat Bagh and savor the beauty of the surroundings. In the afternoon visit Chasme Shahi, the 3rd Mughul Garden. Late afternoon comeback to hotel and relax for sometime. In the evening visit world-famous Dal Lake, and take your newly-weded wife on a romantic ride on a Shikara. Later at night, comeback to hotel and call it a day after dinner.

  2. Day 2 Pahalgam Excursion

    Get up early and freshen up and after breakfast head out for the day long visit to Pahalgam, a hill station nearly 92 kms away. While going towards Pahalgam make a brief stop for refreshment and also to watch the stunning mountainous locales in Bijbehera and Avantipura. After arriving at Pahalgam, head straight to Kolhoi glacier 12 kms away from town. The source of Lidder river, a tributary of Jhelum. Savor the scenic beauty of nature. After sometime head out to Betaab valley in the afternoon. Late in afternoon comeback to Srinagar, and relax. Call it a day after dinner.

  3. Day 3 Gulmarg Excursion

    Get up early and freshen up, and after a hearty breakfast go out for the day long visit to Gulmarg 51 kms away. The prime tourist destination in Kashmir apart from Srinagar, it’s a prime ski and winter sports destination during winter season. After arriving at Gulmarg, head straight to the ropeway. Grab a seat at the ropeway car, and watch the scenic beauty of the valley down below from the cable car. Once you reach the end of the ropeway head to the golf course in the middle of snow-capped mountains. Follow it up with visit to the Rani temple followed by Baba Reshi shrine and St. Mary’s Church. In the late afternoon visit Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve. Comeback to Srinagar in the evening and retire for the day after dinner.

  4. Day 4 Visit to Sonmarg

    Get up early and freshen up. After a hearty breakfast check out of the hotel and head out for tour of Sonmarg nearly 80 kms away on the penultimate day of your tour. The hill station is famous for its pristine beauty. Watch the high snow-capped peaks from the valley. Check into hotel and relax after Kashmiri style lunch. In the evening go to Baltal valley nearly 15 kms away and watch the mesmerizing sunset. Comeback to hotel and relax with your wife, and call it a day after dinner. 

  5. Day 5 Visit Thajiwas Glacier & Pack Up Time

    Get up early and freshen up and after sumptuous breakfast head out to Thaijwas glacier around 10 kms away. The visit includes trek of atleast 2 to 3 kms. Spend sometime watching the mesmerizing glacier. Comeback to hotel after lunch and relax. In the late afternoon checkout of the hotel and head back to Srinagar for a trip back home. Check out of the hotel based on your timing of flight, and head home with memories of this honeymoon trip clicked in a smartphone or camera.

It’s safe to visit Kashmir valley nowadays. However, nowadays both in domestic and international tourist in past few years. However, one needs to work around the frequent shutdowns calls given by secessionist, to visit various areas in and around Srinagar, the hub of all tourism activities in Kashmir valley.

The Dal Lake houses houseboats that are 2 kms away from city center. People visiting houseboat and wanting to travel on Shikara that are always available at the houseboats, have to make prior arrangements to avoid last minute rush. Both houseboat and Shikara travel are costly and better to get the tourist agency arrange for one, or fork out on your own.

The best time of visiting Kashmir is in summer season from April until August and once again in winter season from October to February, if you want to experience the snowfall and can handle cold temperature.

The most popular tourist attractions to visit n Srinagar are Dal Lake, 3 Mughal Gardens, Hari Parbat Fort, Pari Mahal, Manasbal lake, Shankaracharya Temple, and Tulip Gardens and much more.

On visit to Kashmir it is must to carry heavy woollens, sweaters and scarves especially if travelling during winter. Durable shoes are a must if you want to indulge in adventure activities. Better carry Umbrella, if travelling during summer or rainy season. Also must are basic medicine for emergency.

The best time to visit Sonmarg is in the summer from April to June. Apart from Thijwas glacier other places worth visiting in nearby areas include Yousmarg, Baltal Lake, Gangabal, and Krishnasar Park. During winter Sonmarg becomes is the prime attraction for adventure seekers interested skiing on the slopes of the mountains surrounding the town.

The trip itineraries guided trips are liable to change to provide some flexibility in the tour itinerary. However, while travelling in Kashmir it is better to keep yourself informed of the prevailing law and order situation as that allows make needed changes if needed. Also unforeseen circumstances like curfew, landslides, heavy snowfall can necessitate significant change in the itinerary, which may require change in accommodation and/or unplanned travel.
