  1. Day 1 Welcome to Srinagar

    Your trip to Srinagar starts with mid-morning arrival at airport. Check in to hotel and relax for sometime. After some time start you tour of Srinagar with visit the Mughal Gardens with your new wife. First start with Shalimar Bagh, spend sometime there and admire the beauty and architecture; and later visit Nishat Bagh and savor the beauty of the surroundings. In afternoon visit Chasme Shahi. Late afternoon comeback to hotel and relax for sometime. In the evening visit world-famous Dal Lake, and take your newly-weded wife on a romantic ride on a Shikara and watch the sunset from over Dal Lake from the Shikara. Late at night, comeback to hotel and call it a day after dinner.

  2. Day 2 Sonmarg Excursion

    Get up early and freshen up. After hearty breakfast head out for tour of Sonmarg nearly 80 kms away. The hill station is famous for its pristine beauty. Watch the high snow-capped peaks from the valley. Start your trip with visit to Kolhoi glacier. Standing at the foot of he glacier watch the various 5000 meter plus snow-capped mountains like Sirbal Peak, Amarnath Peak, Kolhoi Peak, and Machoi Peak. After sometime visit the Machoi glacier. In the late afternoon go to Baltal valley nearly 15 kms away and watch the mesmerizing sunset. Comeback to hotel and freshen up, then at night head out for dinner with your wife, comeback and call it a day after dinner. 

  3. Day 3 Gulmarg Excursion

    Get up early and freshen up, and after a hearty breakfast go out for the day long visit to Gulmarg 51 kms away. The prime tourist destination in Kashmir apart from Srinagar, it’s a prime ski and winter sports destination during winter season. The hill station also house the High Altitude Ware School of Indian Army. After arriving at Gulmarg, head straight to the ropeway. Grab a seat at the ropeway car, and watch the scenic beauty of the valley down below from the cable car. Once you reach the end of the ropeway, visit to the Rani temple followed by Baba Reshi shrine and St. Mary’s Church. In the late afternoon visit Apharwat peak for a panoramic view of Nanga Parbat and Harmukh mountain. Comeback to Srinagar in the evening and retire for the day after dinner.

  4. Day 4 Pahalgam Excursion

    Get up early and freshen up and after breakfast head out for the day long visit to Pahalgam, a hill station nearly 92 kms away. On the way make a brief stop for refreshment and watch the stunning mountainous locales in Bijbehera, Avantipura and the beautiful Shiekhpura village. After arriving at Pahalgam, head out for trip to Pahalgam Golf Course: and watch the mesmerizing snow capped mountains from there. After sometime head out to Betaab valley. Late in afternoon visit Chandanwadi, Sheshnag lake and Baisaran. In the evening comeback to Srinagar, and relax. Call it a day after dinner.

  5. Day 5 Pack Up!! Pack Up Time

    Get up early and freshen up and after sumptuous breakfast head out for tour of the markets. A must visit is trip to Kashmir Government Arts Emporium in Srinagar near Dal Lake, Srinagar to do some souvenir hunting and buy Kashmiri arts and handicrafts including carpets, papier machie, wood carvings, phool kari, and much more. In the late afternoon checkout of the hotel based on your timing of flight, and head home with memories of this honeymoon trip clicked in a smartphone or camera.

It’s safe to visit Kashmir valley nowadays. However, nowadays both in domestic and international tourist in past few years. However, one needs to work around the frequent shutdowns calls given by secessionist, to visit various areas in and around Srinagar, the hub of all tourism activities in Kashmir valley.

The Dal Lake houses houseboats that are 2 kms away from city center. People visiting houseboat and wanting to travel on Shikara that are always available at the houseboats, have to make prior arrangements to avoid last minute rush. Both houseboat and Shikara travel are costly and better to get the tourist agency arrange for one, or fork out on your own.

The best time of visiting Kashmir is in summer season from April until August and once again in winter season from October to February, if you want to experience the snowfall and can handle cold temperature.

While visiting Kashmir valley tourist can indulge in variety of adventure activities. These include motorcycle safari, jeep safari, wildlife safari, shikara ride, river rafting, mountain climbing, rock climbing, abseiling, trekking, powder skiing, water skiing, fishing, mountain biking, camping, houseboat ride, ropeway cable car travel, golfing and bird watching.

On visit to Kashmir it is must to carry heavy woollens, sweaters and scarves especially if travelling during winter. Durable shoes are a must if you want to indulge in adventure activities. Better carry Umbrella, if travelling during summer or rainy season. Also must are basic medicine for emergency.
