Himachal Pradesh literally means ‘Land Covered in Snow’. This North Indian state nestled in the Himalayas is basically divided into two halves with Shimla, the capital in the centre. The state is especially famous for its apples. It is credited to Satyanand Stokes who was born Samuel Stokes in the USA for introducing the apples in the state. The apples of Himachal Pradesh are well-known for their taste. The apples are a must buy for every tourists visiting the state, and the most important horticulture export item of the state. Himachal Pradesh is also famous for its tea gardens, spread around the slopes of Shimla.   1. Day 1 Start in Chandigarh and Head to Shimla

    The trip starts with early morning arrival at Chandigarh airport or railway station. After refreshment the trip heads straight to Shimla by bus 113 kms away. After checking into hotel have lunch and unwind. In the afternoon explore the various tunnels in Shimla like Khachhar Surang, Auckland Tunnel, and Victory tunnel and the imposing British era building of Institute of Advanced Studies. In the evening visit Christ Church, Sankat Mochan Temple, and Jakhu Hill Temple. Late in evening go on a walk on the beautiful Mall Road. Those interested in street foods can enjoy snacks in various street side food stalls. Comeback and retire for the day after dinner.

  2. Day 2 Shimla to Kufri Sightseeing Tour

    Get up early and after a scrumptious local breakfast, get ready for the full day Shimla sightseeing tour. Start your Shimla and its surroundings tour with visit the British era built beautiful school buildings. Follow it up with visit to Kufri, the skiing capital of Himachal Pradesh. the skiing capital of the state nearly 17 kms away. If you are visiting in winter and love skiing head straight to ski slopes, otherwise just enjoy the picturesque hilly surroundings and go on a trek to Mahasiu peak. You can also visit the kufri zoo and Himalayan nature park.  In evening comeback to hotel and retire for the day after dinner.

  3. Day 3 Move from Shimla to Manali

    Get up early and after a hearty local breakfast checkout of hotel, take a bus trip to next big destination to Manali, over 247 kms away via the picturesque Kulu valley. On the way on a brief stopover visit Theog, admire the lush green forests during which refreshment will be provided, then visit the Tattapani hot springs. As you head towards Manali in brief stops visit places like Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Mata Temple and Sundar Nagar Lake. After arriving at the hotel, take a lunch and relax. In the evening, visit Mall road and after some window shopping/souvenir hunting, comeback to hotel and retire for the day after dinner.

  4. Day 4 Manali Sightseeing Tour

    Get up early and after sumptuous breakfast head out on sightseeing tour of surrounding areas. Start from Old Manali, Vashishth, Gulaba, Kasol and Tosh villages. Follow it up with visit Kullu Vaishno Devi Temple, Manikaran hot springs and gurudwara, Hidimba Devi Temple, Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa Monastery, and Raghunath Temple. After lunch visit Siyali Mahadev Temple, Beas Kund, Bhrigu Lake, and Rohtang Pass. Those interested in adventure can do river rafting on Beas or go to Solang Valley for paragliding. In the evening relax and retire for the day after dinner.

  5. Day 5 Head to Dharamshala and Sightseeing

    Get up early and after a scrumptious breakfast check out of hotel to visit Dharamshala 238 kms away. On the way enjoy the beautiful scenery and mesmerizing beauty of nature. After checking into hotel, relax after lunch. In the evening visit Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, St. John in the Wilderness Church, and War Memorial. In the evening try out dinner at a local Himachal or Tibetan restaurant and retire for the day.

  6. Day 6 Dharamshala Sightseeing

    Rise up early and after breakfast go out on tour of Dharamshala starting with the tour of Kangra Art Museum. Follow it up with visit to Kareri Dal Lake, Jwalamukhi Devi Temple, Triund, Bhagsunath Temple. After lunch visit relax for some time; then visit the imposing Kangra Fort, on the return visit ForsythGanj, Kotwali Bazaar, Sidhpur, Tibetan Museum and Gyuto Monastery. In the evening eat dinner at a Tibetan restaurant, comeback to hotel and retire for the day.

  7. Day 7 Travel to Dalhousie

    Get up early and after breakfast, check out for trip to Dalhousie about 117 kms away. Visit Baijnath Shiva temple en-route to Dalhousie. After checking into hotel, unwind after lunch. In late afternoon visit the St. Francis Church, Panchpula, Chamera Lake and Subhash Boali. In evening go to Subhash Chowk for magnificent view of Chamba valley and snow-capped peaks of Dhauladhar range. Comeback to hotel and retire for the day after dinner. 

  8. Day 8 Pack up!!! Time to Go Home

    Rise early and pack up completely before checking out of the hotel, based on timing of flight or train to your hometown from Chandigarh. Head home with memories of this trip clicked in a smartphone or camera.
